WHAT DO WE DO?
At the club you get to know the llamas and the other animals on the estate, as well as the caretaking they need. Each club member gets to try out all the different aspects of taking care of animals – feed, take care of and stroke the animals. At the club you will also learn how to handle a haltered llama. We will take the llamas out for walks of different lengths and we will practice some llama-agility too. At the last gathering, the club activities reach their climax with a real llama hike. That day, we will prepare a packed lunch, pack our gear in the llamas’ saddle bags and go on a llama hike of a couple of kilometers. Halfway our hike we will halt for a rest and have a picnic in the forest.
WHEN IS IT AND WHAT DO I BRING?
The club will gather four times:
Thu 16th of June 18:00-19:30
Thu 29th of June 18:00-19:30
Thu 6th of July 18:00-19:30
Thu 13th of July 18:00-19:30 (llama hike)
The club can host 4-8 children.
You will need to bring at least some kind of working gloves and to dress according to the weather. Taking care of barnyard animals implies that your clothes may get dirty.
WHO IS THE CLUB FOR?
The club is meant for children of school age and above, who are interested in taking care of llamas and other barnyard animals.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The club costs 50 € per participant. The packed lunch we prepare together for the llama hike is included in the price. On the first club day each child will receive an invoice.
