Tiitu is a bit bigger than Daisi, her height at the withers being approx. 100 cm. And YES, Tiitu can be a real ass. If she doesn’t want to move, she won’t. In spite of their stubborn reputation our donkey girls have won our hearts with their captivating and sympathetic nature. Mind you, they still have those little moments… Donkeys make firm-footed mounts, and thrive on the Finnish rural terrain. However, their small size limits that of their rider as well. Only children up to 30kgs can mount a donkey.

The solid saddle on the donkey’s back makes it easy even for first-timers to keep their balance. Whilst seated firm in the saddle, children can thoroughly enjoy the view during the Animal Hike.

Donkeys, especially Daisi and Tiitu, are firm-footed and docile animals and they will happily let our youngest visitors enjoy a donkey ride too. A basket saddle is suitable for babies who can sit and hold their head up for a while.

Donkeys are also nice hiking trip companions when it comes to carrying goods, because even a small donkey can carry 30 – 40 kg of burden.

A donkey is an adaptable and gentle animal that accepts all sorts of hiking companions: both hairy and ‘hairless’ ones.
